Direct Recruitment Urgently Require Permanent Production Operatives For Late Afternoon Shifts.

We are working in partnership with our key client to recruit permanent operatives to work in various areas across their site. These being in the Floor Shed, Timber Frame Production Shed and Truss Department.

Order books are running at a very high rate due to the increase in the house building market. They supply to customers in England and Wales from its modern production facility in Hixon, Staffordshire. This is a market leader in the building materials and production market across the country to leading blue chip companies. We urgently require additional permanent operatives to join their existing teams.

If you are looking for a position with a prestigious company, and are looking for late shifts Monday to Thursday, 16:00pm to 02:00am then we can offer you an immediate start.

If you are committed and looking for a permanent position that can offer training, an excellent hourly rate at £9.50 p/hour then this could be the position for you!

Due to the location, you will need to have your own transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading design specifications to create kits
  • Measuring and cutting large timber beams to the correct size and angle
  • Assembling timber to create frames using nail guns, knives, presses and saws etc.
  • Insulating completed frames and preparing pallets ready for shipping and distribution

Administrator

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Performing general administration duties – sorting incoming and outgoing post, filing and photocopying
  • Booking transport and generating delivery paperwork for palletised goods to meet customer deliveries
  • Data Input
  • Booking and managing courier collections
  • Handling incoming calls and acting as a first point of contact for sales enquiries

Machine Operator

Looking for a machine operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery for our partner business in the Stone area. Looking for a reliable individual with a keen eye for detail and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • A good understanding of paper and board grades
  • Knowledge of paper weights
  • Knowledge of paper sizes
  • Experience of handling paper or board materials
  • Experience of working with print / packaging related machinery operating at high speeds
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to overcoming issues

Machine Operator Requirements

  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment in the workplace.
  • Carry out and document safety checks before commencement when operating machinery.
  • Uphold the quality and hygiene standards required to meet the company’s accreditation’s.
  • Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the challenges given.
  • Undertake the movement of materials (raw and finished) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Follow documented works instruction carrying out checks to ensure adherence to quality.
  • Operate sheeting machinery (or sections of the machine) in co-operation with other team members
  • Prepare materials required for the production of the expected orders.
  • Carry out and document quality checks at multiple stages of the production process.
  • Contribute to the teams efforts to meet production requirements.
  • Wrap, strap and label product ensuring that it matches the product and meets the customer requirement.
  • Undertake the loading and unloading of transport inbound and outbound as and when required.
  • Co-operate with the team to effectively manage the work space to best accommodate material movements.
  • Have a good awareness of the movement of people and vehicles within the work area to ensure safe practice at all times.
  • Have either paper and board experience and/or machine operating experience.

Hours and Rate

  • Monday – Friday; 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 (rotating shifts)
  • £8.60 p/hour

My client is an established manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent.  They are able to offer a bespoke service to their customers and offer a range of products to industrial and commercial customers. We are recruiting for an experienced Powder coater that is looking for their next stage as a supervisor or an experienced supervisor to be based at their site in Stoke-on-Trent. This position is a permanent position with career development in place.

Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and reliable. Looking for that certain individual who takes pride in their work, and who can supervise a team.

  • Loading/unloading the paint line
  • Wet Spray Paint
  • Applying a range of powder coatings finishes to an excellent standard
  • Palletising painted items ready for distribution
  • Maintaining quality of coated products
  • Ensuring Health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
  • Supervising a busy team
  • Working within a well-established team
  • Additional duties as required

 Hours: –

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 1600
