We are representing a fabulous company that are a rapidly growing dynamic supplier to the print and packaging industries. We have an opening for a production operative in our sheeting facility where we convert packaging materials from reel to sheet servicing a wide range of UK based printing and packaging companies.

We are looking for a candidate who ideally has sheeting/ conversion experience or a good level of experience from the packaging/ print trade and can demonstrate the following:

  • A good understanding of paper and board grades
  • Knowledge of paper weights
  • Knowledge of paper sizes
  • Experience of handling paper or board materials
  • Experience of working with/print packaging related machinery operating at high speeds
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to overcoming issues
  • A strong team work ethic

Machine Operator Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment in the workplace
  • Carry out and document safety checks before commencement when operating machinery
  • Uphold the quality and hygiene standards required to meet the companies’ accreditations
  • Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards challenges given
  • Undertake the movement of materials (raw and finished) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Follow documented works instruction carrying out checks to ensure adherence to quality
  • Operate sheeting machinery (or sections of the machine) in co-operation with other team members
  • Prepare materials required for the production of the expected orders.
  • Carry out and document quality checks at multiple stages of the production process
  • Contribute to the team’s efforts to meet production requirements
  • Wrap, strap and label products ensuring that it matches the product and meets the customers requirement
  • Undertake the loading and unloading of transport inbound and outbound as and when required
  • Co-operate with the team to effectively manage the work space to best accommodate material movements
  • Have a good awareness of the movement of people and vehicles within the work area to ensure safe practice at all times
  • Maintain a high level of time keeping
  • Communicate in a respectful and proactive manner with all staff
  • Must be able to work shifts (rotating weekly)

As a Recruitment Resourcer, you will be sourcing candidates predominantly for our Healthcare Division from social media and recruitment platforms. However you will also be expected to resource for our other Divisions according to the changing demands of our Clients.

You will be dealing with high volumes of online applications and calls, reviewing CV’s, screening candidates, booking interviews, reference checking, communicating interview outcomes and working towards targets and KPIs.  You will be working closely with your Line Manager to ensure that all candidate attributes are meeting the expectations of the Client.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, is self motivated with a tenacious and driven attitude. Excellent communication skills are essential as you be screening candidates over the phone and face to face as well as liaising with Clients.

Previous experience working in a recruitment or customer focused environment would be an advantage, and you must be able to show strong administrative and organisational skills. A full UK Driving Licence and daily access to a vehicle is required for possible off-site registrations.

Van driver

3.5 Tonne Van Driver

£8.53 to £9.00 per hour

3.5 Tonne Van Driver Position Overview 

  • Making a number of deliveries and/or collections across the UK
  • Based out of Fegg Hayes, Stoke on Trent

3.5 Tonne Van Driver Position Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (with no more than 6 points)
  • A minimum of 6 months UK 3.5tonne Van experience
  • A good level of physical fitness is an advantage
  • Excellent customer service

3.5 Tonne Driver Position Benefits

  • £8.83 to £9.00 per hour dependent on shift and contract
