Account Administrator

We are Looking for an accounts Administrator to join a  small sales and operational team located in Stone. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating quotations, processing customer orders, and building strong relationships with customers. A team player who can work independently, take initiative, and has leadership qualities.

The company was established in 1984 and has an excellent reputation for its customer service and quality products.  The company provides brush strips and seals to a range of domestic customers and trade clients both UK and International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of service in line with company standards.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support
  • Assist in achieving business objectives by achieving set sales goals and supporting general operations and ensuring smooth workflows.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and sales orders.
  • Manage and update the quote log to improve conversion rates and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
  • Process sales transactions and manage the order book efficiently.
  • Perform general office duties such as managing correspondence, handling emails, scanning documents, and proofreading.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails promptly and courteously, directing them as appropriate or handling enquiry directly.
  • Assist with pricing management, including customer price lists and contract adjustments.
  • Manage key accounts to ensure excellent service and clear communication.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Solid understanding of B2C and B2B sales and familiarity with Incoterms for export trade is an advantage.
  • Experience in a similar role within manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Prior experience working with an MRP system / Sage stock management system is essential.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with qualifications is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Working Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week: (within these operational hours)Monday – Friday: Premises are open between 08:00 – 17:00
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus statutory holidays per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG welding of steel components to drawings and specifications
  • Must have STICK qualification
  • Preparing materials, including cutting, grinding, and fit-up
  • Ensuring weld quality meets required standards
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Inspecting completed welds and carrying out basic repairs if required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Following workplace health, safety, and quality procedures

 

Requirements

  • Previous MIG  & stick welding experience
  • Ability to read basic drawings and welding symbols
  • Good attention to detail and workmanship
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

 

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Welding tickets or certifications
  • Experience with production or fabrication welding
  • Ability to weld different material thicknesses
  • Trade qualification in metal fabrication

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Digital Printing Press Operative to join our busy production team. This is a hands-on role operating digital printing presses to produce high-quality print work, ensuring jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and to deadline. This is based on a continental shift patten of 12 hours, days and nights

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and run digital printing presses
  • Prepare and check artwork and materials prior to printing
  • Monitor print quality, colour accuracy, and registration
  • Make adjustments to press settings during production runs
  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault finding
  • Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
  • Follow health & safety procedures at all times
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe

Skills & Experience

  • Experience operating digital printing presses is preferred
  • Knowledge of digital print processes, substrates, and inks
  • Strong attention to detail and colour consistency
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
