Our client is looking for people to join their team of road-based inspectors to inspect their quality of equipment.

Job Role Overview:

  • Inspecting and servicing PPE in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Portable appliance testing
  • Working remotely on client’s sites and at safety services offices
  • Assist with in-house servicing
  • Completing all work with accuracy and attention to detail, as this is safety-critical equipment
  • Alongside the servicing you’ll need to complete the administration process in accordance with the internal standards framework
  • Out of hours (early starts and late finishes) together with overnight stays are a regular requirement (travel and subsistence allowance are provided).

Candidate Requirements:

  • Full and valid UK Driving licence and the ability to travel on a frequent basis
  • GCSE A-C Grade in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Competent using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word
  • A ‘safety first’ mentality, demonstrating a continuous focus on safety
  • Attention to detail
  • An ability to learn and follow processes thoroughly

  • An engineering background would be advantageous

Hours and Pay

  • Full time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
  • £9.90/hour

Machine Operator

Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are looking for 2 Machine Operators (with PPT Licence) to join our client, based in Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

They are a family-run company, offering permanent contracts to individuals looking for stability and longevity.

Specific machine operating experience is preferred but not essential, however general machine operating experience is essential. Transferable training is provided for a machine-minded candidate.

Role Overview:

  • To operate machinery as per the Standard Operating procedures
  • To identify and correct product quality issues
  • To record production data that ensures full product traceability.
  • To ensure that all duties are undertaken in compliance with the company’s policies and procedure.
  • To deliver achievement of the production plan by ensuring material yield and machine availability is optimised
  • To ensure that a safe work environment exists by adhering to the company health and safety and environment policies and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel.
  • PPT, and PPT Lift truck licences
  • Good level of communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience.

Hours and Pay

  • 4 days and 4 nights Monday to Thursday, rotating weeks, 48 hours per week.
  • 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00.
  • £26,000/year, with an additional £4300 shift allowance paid equally over 12 months.

Machine Operator

Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are looking for a Machine Operator, to join a family run business, based in Eccleshall, Staffordshire. They are looking for someone to work both days and nights.

The company specialises in manufacturing silicone adhesive medical products, therefore the working environment is a clean and sterile one.

Specific machine operating experience is preferred but not essential, however general machine operating experience is essential. Transferable training is provided for a machine-minded candidate.

Hours and Pay:

  • Alternating weeks
    • Monday to Thursday 06:45-19:00
    • Monday to Wednesday 18:45-07:00
  • £10.00/hour then increases to £10.60 when permanent

Customer Service Advisor

Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join their new client, based in Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

They are a leading supplier of safety services in the country.

As a Customer Service Advisor your role will be to act as the first line of support and handle all customer contact; providing an excellent customer experience.

Customer Service Advisor Role:

  • Identify the customer’s needs in order to resolve and prevent customer queries at first contact
  • Handle inbound calls, emails, orders and website enquiries
  • Record all customer enquiries on the CRM system and update communications
  • Prioritise enquiries according to customer demand
  • Liaise with instructors and technicians when needed to assist helping with customer request/queries
  • Proactively provide customers with updates on any delays, issues and progression of orders
  • Use own judgement to ensure first contact resolution, working with other departments to provide excellent levels of customer service

Customer Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Diary management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills (CRM proficient is preferred)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of customer accounts.

Customer Service Hours and Pay

  • 5 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Flexible shifts between 08:00-17:30.
