Role Overview
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the sales and production teams by preparing accurate, timely and competitive cost estimates for customer quotations. You’ll assess technical specifications, materials, labour, and production processes to ensure profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and customer quotes based on specifications, drawings, and enquiries
  • Assess materials, production methods, labour, and machine requirements
  • Liaise with sales, production, design, and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, costs, and industry trends
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to pricing strategy
  • Support the development of customer proposals and tender submissions
  • Ensure estimates are delivered on time and meet company margin goals

About You

  • Experience as an Estimator within the packaging, print, manufacturing, or related industry
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read technical drawings/specifications
  • Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MIS systems is an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and maintaining Fosber corrugator machinery to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality production output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a corrugator machines safely and efficiently
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Ensure production quality meets company standards
  • Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Record production data and report any issues to supervisors

Requirements:

  • Experience operating Fosber or similar corrugator machinery (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights or weekends if required

CAD Operator

CAD Operator

Department: Packaging
Reports To: Production Manager

Job Summary:

The CAD Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the cutting table to produce high-quality prototypes, samples, and production runs. This role involves working closely with the design and production teams to interpret CAD drawings, prepare cutting files, and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and precision in all cutting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain cutting tables (e.g., Kongsberg X, C, or i-series).
  • Prepare and import CAD files (e.g., ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, Illustrator, etc.) for cutting.
  • Set up cutting parameters, materials, and tooling based on job specifications.
  • Perform test cuts, adjustments, and calibration to ensure quality output.
  • Inspect finished pieces to verify accuracy, dimensions, and quality standards.
  • Maintain the machine, replace blades and bits as needed, and ensure safe operation.
  • Collaborate with designers and production staff to optimize layouts and minimize material waste.
  • Troubleshoot technical or software issues with the Kongsberg system.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report on workflow status.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience operating Kongsberg cutting tables or similar CAD-driven cutting systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of dielines, layouts, and material properties (e.g., corrugated board, foam, plastic, vinyl).
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and file management.

Preferred:

  • Experience in packaging, signage, or display manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Esko software and RIP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and maintenance procedures for digital cutting equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily workshop or production floor environment.
  • May require occasional lifting (up to [X] kg) and standing for extended periods.
  • Adherence to health and safety standards required at all times.
