Counterbalance Forklift Driver

We have vacancies available for a Forklift Operative (Counterbalance) to be based with our client in Hixon, Staffordshire. This role is offered as a 12 week Temp-Perm position. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to develop a career with a well-established company.

Overview:

  • A valid FLT counterbalance licence is required (3 years minimum)
  • Telehandler experience would be an advantage
  • You must have worked within a manufacturing environment previously
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to communicate fluently
  • The role involves working both in and outdoors whilst operating your forklift.

Hours and Pay

  • Starting pay is £12.50/hour
  • Pay will rise after 13 weeks are completed
  • Temp to perm for the right candidate
  • Full training will be provided for the role
  • Shifts are 4 on, 4 off rotational shifts, so flexibility is essential

Milling Operatives

Our well established client, based in Hixon, Staffordshire, is currently looking for 2 Milling Operatives to join their team. It is a temporary-permanent contract. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements

  • You must have your own Counterbalance Forklift licence which has been issued or refreshed in the last 3 years. In-house licences will not be considered.
  • The role is based within a foundry. Candidates will be required to move large bulky items with a Forklift or Low Loader, weighing and wrapping.

Hours and Pay

  • Hourly rate starting at 12.00 then rising after 12 weeks to 13.80
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
  • The hours of work are 06:00hrs-18:00hrs 4 days a week with 3 days off, the shift will rotate on a weekly basis so will include working weekends at times.

Packing Operative

Packing Operative Overview:

  • Operating production equipment

  • Helping organise production space
  • Cleaning and tidying
  • Occasional help in other areas when needed – a successful candidate will be trained in other departments where working with weights up to 25kg will be required

Packing Operative Hours and Pay

  • Starting at £20,000/year, with the potential to rise to £24-25,000
  • 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, full time. PERMANENT
  • Position is based in Hixon, so reliable transport is required.

Production Operatives

We are representing a leading manufacturing company that is based in Hixon, Staffordshire. Order books are booming and they are looking for 1 production operative, offering a permanent contract. The company offers a full training package, so experience is not necessarily needed.

We are looking for a candidate that enjoys physical, heavy and manual work. The position will include using handheld air guns, band sawyers and working with large timber. Hixon is a rural location so own transport is necessary.

The Production Operative positions are on a permanent day shift, 08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday, at £9.70-£10.00/hour with an added production bonus.
