Do you have previous knowledge and experience of working in a warehouse / stores role but have also undertaken admin tasks?

A well-established supplier / distributor have enlisted Direct to appoint a Warehouse General Assistant to join their team based near Stone. They are looking for someone who can cover full time hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 60-minute lunch break.

Duties will include: –

  • Accurately picking, packaging and labelling orders
  • Safe operation of MHE including Fork Lift Truck
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Checking off inbound goods against delivery paperwork
  • Ensuring goods are stored and dispatched in a ‘first in first out’ process
  • Carrying out stocktakes, reconciling physical stock to computerised records
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Liaise with the Logistics Team to determine order requirements
  • Carry our routine ground care and checks
  • Maintain and update all records, CRM data, databases and reports

Requirements of the role: –

  • Have a valid Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Previous warehouse / stores experience along with accurate picking skills
  • Have a working knowledge of warehouse stock management systems
  • Are able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Can prioritise workload and tasks ensuring that procedures are adhered to
